Hi Coco,
First, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for walking with us through Battles to Breakthroughs. Thank you for showing up, for your patience with the extra emails, and for allowing us to be part of your parenting journey.
If we were sitting together over coffee right now, I’d look you in the eye and say — I see you.
I see the weary moments, the quiet hopes you carry, and the way you keep showing up even when it’s hard.
As a mom whose boys are now grown, I’ve been thinking a lot about what truly lasts.
The truth? It’s not the perfectly packed lunches, the spotless houses, or whether we “got it right” every single time.
It’s the connection. It’s the little moments. It’s the way we choose to show up for our kids — and for ourselves — over and over again.
Over the years, I’ve found myself clinging to certain truths — little reminders that have carried me through the hardest and sweetest seasons. I wrote them down, and I want to pass them on to you, like a keepsake from one mom to another.
What I Want to Remember
I am more than my to-do list.
My worth isn’t defined by my child’s mood, actions, or attitude.
Connection comes before correction.
The only person I can control is myself.
I can model the peace I want my child to feel.
Progress matters more than perfection.
Small steps lead to big change.
My voice matters — and my presence matters more.
I am not alone.
These words have been my anchor. They’ve carried me through the highs and lows of motherhood, and they still guide me now — even with my grown sons.
So, as we step into a new school year, keep this close. Print it. Tuck it in your planner. Read it on the hard days.
And remember: You’re not alone. We’re in this together.
With love and gratitude, Coco 💛
P.S. In the workshop, I shared what’s helped me sustain a close, loving connection with my kids through every season. If you missed it, you can still grab the replay while it’s available: [Purchase the Replay]
