You’ve asked the school to evaluate your child.

The testing is complete.

And now you’re heading into a room where several people may be sitting around a table, ready to talk about your child—their strengths, their challenges, their scores, and whether they qualify for additional support.

It can feel like a lot.

Especially when everyone else in the room seems to speak a language you’re still learning.

Before you walk into that meeting, there are a few things we want you to know.

Things that can help you feel more prepared, more grounded, and better able to take in all that information without losing sight of the most important person in the room:
